November Mission Model Discussion - M4: Design for Wildlife

M4: Design for Wildlife
Welcome to the November Mission Model Discussion! From now until November 22nd this space will feature ONE part of the FIRST LEGO League CITY SHAPER game challenge per day. The Robot Game is only 1/4th of the overall FIRST LEGO League challenge for teams this year!
This post is meant to be an aid, not a replacement for carefully reading the Game Guide and Updates!

At The Beginning of the Match

The bat begins in Home. The tree begins fixed to the field in the Northwest corner with Branch B facing towards North.

Points

10 Points - if the Bat is supported by Branch B on the Tree. Branch B does not have any green LEGO elements on it.

Required Scoring Conditions

The bat is supported by or hanging only on the tree branch at the end of the match.

Note from the Oregon Head Referees

Scores only by hanging from the large brown tree branch.

Real-World Impact

Wildlife frequently adapts and finds homes in our urban areas. Often these creatures control pests that make modern living more difficult, like mosquitos, mice, rats, and other creatures that when left unchecked become major problems. Making sure these helpful creatures, like bats, raccoons, skunks, bees, birds, foxes, and even raptors have a safe home to rest and raise their young helps our human environment in many ways.

Reminders

Bat starts in Home. Bat goes on Branch. That is all.
